Why was the threat of cancellation on IPL hovering?

Many sports have been canceled due to Cororna virus and this if affecting IPL also. The IPL is being Organized inside India in April or May, in which various teams participate, this tournament is done in  different cities of India and thousands of people watch live on stadium and millions of people watch it on their TV. The situation inside India was getting worse due to Corona virus. Due to this, Lock down had to be done all over India. All kinds of sports inside India were also temporarily closed. But BCCI is not at all wanting that this tournament be canceled under any circumstances. The BCCI continued to sit with government for the IPL and considered releasing the next schedule of the IPL.

The  BCCI does not want to let the IPL be canceled because the sponsors are putting a lot of money in the IPL and they do not want to lose money under any circumstances. The challenge for the Be BCCI is that the IPL should be held now this year in India or on some other foreign land. It is noteworthy that BCCI has already organized IPL in South Africa and United Arab Emirates in 2009 and 2014 and this year also BCCI is going to organize IPL in UAE.

How safe is it to Organize IPL this year?

Taking note of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in India, the IPL GC decided to stage the tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the matches will be played in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi subject to necessary clearances from the Government of India.

The IPL will now be held inside UAE from 19 September 2020 - 10 November 2020. Preparation have been made to take all the players from the chartered plane to the UAE and from 25 August there will be a practice session there. According to the BCCI, spectators will not allowed to watch the opening matches but as the tournament progress, the spectators will be allowed to come to the stadium and watch the match. The 53-day tournament will witness 10-afternoon matches starting at 15:30 IST while the evening matches will start at 19:30 IST. Women’s T20 Challenge will also take place in the UAE and will comprise three teams with four matches to be played during the IPL Playoff week.

This time it will be even more exciting to watch the IPL after the Twenty20 World cup is canceled, this is very big news for the fans of cricket and now they will be able to enjoy cricket freely. This time Indian cricketers faced a different challenge in the IPL as the Indian cricketers has not played any International cricket match since March 2020, and young cricketers and freshers will have to practice hard  for their good performance. We would also like that like every year, this time also new cricketers from the IPL came out and carried the name of the county forward.
